Back on call for 5x24 hour shifts...

I will not be off call until 8am Christmas morning.
I screwed up...the pic is me after my tour.......i think I look a wee bit pale lol..
but it never did prove to be very busy.............

that sounds like too much. do you get any rest? hope you are taking good care of yourself through each situation. is this your normal schedule?
Melissa.....yes you do get rest....we spend the day at the firehall or the hospital waiting for a call or transfer. We are able to go home to sleep at night.
we wear a pager and as long as we make it to the firehall in five mins or less we do have a certain amount of freedom.
Last night I was soaking in the bath and the pager went off, I had to jump out and run...thats the part that sucks....My normal schedule is 96 hrs on 96hrs off, but this tour I took an overtime day to help with all the spending I have done this Christmas...............I am trying to eat properly, especially when I am on call..........I cant afford to be dozey when working..lol...........
